I was reading to my son, Jamison, about global warming a few weeks ago. He was very concerned and his prayers that night
were "...And please protect us from global warning". To settle his nerves I promised that we would plant some trees
along an irrigation ditch on our ranch in Wyoming and do our part to help. He wanted to plant lots of trees and I said in
time we would. We have plenty of room to plant many trees.
Then I thought about people who, like me, would like
to plant but do not have the room. I got on a web site that planted trees in Africa and decided to follow their lead only
here in Wyoming.
PLANT A TREE! To have a tree planted in yours or someone else's name please send $100.00 to; Jamison's
Trees P.O. Box 321 Upton, WY 82730 We will begin plantings in April and May of 2007. We also will plant in September
and October. We are planning on Cotton Wood trees initially as we are changing our landscape we would at least like to create
a positive appearance as well. If you want to help but can't send the whole amount then we will plant at least one tree for
every $100.
I also have a PayPal account and will add PayPal to this site when I figure out how! My account is with
the email address listed below.
I realize that this site looks a little hokey at this point. Please realize I am a
stay at home mom in her late forties in the boonies of Wyoming. I had to look up the definition of blog this morning. I
have an email address if you would like to contact me. It is eileenistler@netscape.net. My internet service is lousy at
best but I do manage to get on the net a few times a week.
I am posting a picture of where the first trees will be
planted. The snow line in the front part of the camera is the irrigation ditch. It is along this ditch where I want to start
planting. This ditch goes for about a quarter of a mile on our property. We own MANY more acres so, I am not limited by
space. This picture was taken from the highway between Upton and Sundance Wyoming on Hwy. 116. This is almost on the county
line dividing Weston county from Crook County. This is the Sundance where the Sundance kid got his name. Anyway, if you
are in the Black Hills and want to see your tree then this is where it will be!
